Complete to Stand in Him

In this final lesson in this series, we will look back at what we have learned from Colossians and hopefully be able to see how it all fits together.

There were technical difficulties which led to starting over a bit late. That is why the beginning of it is not the usual.

In Colossians 4:7-18, we find a lot of greetings from brethren with Paul to brethren in Colossae or Laodicea. In this class we look at who these brethren were and what we can learn from these greetings.

In this class, we look at Colossians 4:2-6. After working on our own lives to truly make Christ all to us, what must our focus be? Did Christ only die for us? If He is living in us, we must be busy taking His gospel to others as well so that they can be complete to stand in Him also.

In this class, we look at Colossians 3:18-4:1 which applies the things we are to put on in Christ to our relationships, especially within the home.

This time we look at Colossians 3:12-17 and see what those who have been raised with Christ are to put on.

This is our second lesson on Colossians 3:1-11. In this lesson our focus is on the things we are to put off since we have died with Christ.

Our text today is Colossians 3:1-11. What does it mean that Christ is our life? How is He all and in all? We will look at this idea in this first of two lessons on this text.

The today is Colossians 2:13-23. When we understand Christ and our relationship with Him properly, how does that effect our thinking about what it really means to be holy? Are there things we need to be doing beyond what Christ taught, such as some laws from the Old Testament that will make us better Christians? Let’s look at it together.

The text today is Colossians 2:4-12. Where do we find completeness? Should we look to philosophy? Tradition? Let’s look at this together.

Our text today is Colossians 1:24-2:3. Why was Paul suffering? What work was he so involved in and why was it so important to him? What riches were found in the work he was doing? Let’s look at these things together.

Colossians in many ways is focused on the greatness of Christ and how fulfillment is only found in Him. Today, we will look at Colossians 1:13-23 that really demonstrates why Christ has preeminence (first place) in everything.

What do we learn about Paul’s prayer for the Colossian brethren? As we look at Colossians 1:3-12, I believe we will see some of the main points of this letter and what we need in our lives as well.

What do we know about the brethren in Colossae? Why was this letter sent to them? We examine the connections between Colossians and Philemon as well as seeing what we can learn from the Laodiceans.
