My Understanding of the Passage
In the series: The Head Covering

This time, I go through the passage and explain what I believe it means. The point of this is not to cover every possibility, or to go into the deepest detail but rather to give an overview of the meaning of the passage, as I currently understand it.

Overview of Some Questions In the Passage
In the series: The Head Covering

In this lesson, we read through the passage, then we take a look at the many questions that arise from it. We see that there are reasons why people disagree about the meaning of many different things in the passage. While there is a true meaning to everything in the passage, this does not mean that we all have the right understanding. It is difficult to prove our position in many areas, so we should have patience, tolerance, and humility and dealing with those who disagree with us.

Why Should We Not Divide Over It?
In the series: The Head Covering

At the start of this study of a controversial topic, we want to look at the idea that we should be able to have unity without agreeing about everything. The head covering is something taught about in the New Testament, so it is important to study it and do what Jesus wants us to do. But when we disagree, based on good reasons and not rebellion, we should be able to continue worshiping and working together. Nobody else is forced to participate with the practice of anyone else in this case. It is an individual practice and not nearly as clear as some other teaching, so individual conviction must be allowed to differ.
