This is the second video where I answer questions that came as a result of the modesty lesson. In this lesson, we look at the passages in 1 Timothy 2 and 1 Peter 3 about expensive clothes, jewelry, and braided hair. We also look at the question of whether women should wear pants to church.
Short Lessons
These lessons were recorded in a different way than most of my classes. They are designed to be shorter as well.
How does a proper understanding of shame and nakedness cause us to understand exceptions to when we can be naked in front of other people? Are swimming costumes (bathing suits) an exception where it is right for us to uncover parts of our body that normally should be covered?
What is the biblical idea of modesty? Is there a true Biblical standard for how much of our body we should keep covered? Is it all cultural? How does love factor into our consideration?

What are euphemisms and what is their connection to bad language? Is it wrong to use euphemisms? What should we consider?
What does Paul mean that knowledge makes a person arrogant (1 Corinthians 8:1-3)? What is difference between how we act when we think we have knowledge to justify what we want to do, rather than when we have love for God and others?
What is a bad companion and why do they corrupt our good habits or morals? We take a quick look at what makes a companion bad and what we can do about it.
Do you ever doubt that being generous is the right thing? Do you wonder if you will have enough if you share with others? In this short lesson, we look at what Jesus teaches us and see that we can have confidence in that being generous is always the right thing.
This lesson is to encourage everyone going through difficult times. There is good that comes from difficulties and we can be faithful through them all.
