The Bible Is God’s Mirror
But be sure you live out the message and do not merely listen to it and so deceive yourselves. For if someone merely listens to the message and does not live it out, he is like someone who gazes at his own face in a mirror. For he gazes at himself and then goes out and immediately forgets what sort of person he was. But the one who peers into the perfect law of liberty and fixes his attention there, and does not become a forgetful listener but one who lives it out — he will be blessed in what he does. – (James 1:22-25, NET)
For we know in part and we prophesy in part; but when the perfect comes, the partial will be done away. When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things. For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known. (1 Corinthians 13:9-12, NASB)
Do you want to “know fully just as you have been fully known?” Do you want to see yourself as God sees you? The Bible is the word of God and the perfect mirror. When we read it, it shows us what kind of people we really are. It also shows us how God can fix our problems. This website is meant to encourage reading and studying your Bible as well as providing some materials to help you in your study.
