In this class, we finish our examination of the imprecatory psalms (those that ask God to bring curses on our enemies) and look at Psalms 69 and 109 in particular.

In this class, we look at an example of imprecatory language (calling down curses on someone’s enemies) in Psalm 58 and discuss how this type of language fits with the teaching of Christ. Lord willing, we will look at more Psalms that focus on this type of language in the next class.

There are a few Psalms that have the history of God’s work with Israel as their main focus. We want to look at some of those today and see what purpose there can be for looking at this history. We will use Psalms 135, 105, 78, and 106. We may not have time to get through them all, but we will see.
